Rotary Club Narromine

Rotary Club of Narromine is a volunteer organisation that raises funds through their catering van at the Rotary Market Days, Christmas Venetian Carnival and the collection of aluminium cans and batteries for recycling. Recycling cages are located at the back of Coles and the front of the Mens Shed in Dandaloo St.

Funds raised are used to help the community, heighten awareness and promote worthy causes such as the Annual Bowelscan Program, Mens Health van, Graffiti Clean up and for other worthwhile community projects.
Narromine Rotary Club are involved in other community projects such as: The Narromine Wetlands Project, Youth Exchange Program, Youth Camps, the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, Youth Driver Awareness, the Science and Engineering Challenge and an annual
week long course to develop their leadership abilities.

Other donations to local organisations include the Cancer
Support Group
, Narromine Rescue Squad, and Lifeline.

The majority of the funds raised by the Narromine Rotary Club are by means of the catering and operation of the food van that frequents local events such as market days, race meetings,
the local agricultural show, and air pageants.

As well as donating to local charities, Rotary funds are used to develop facilities for the
local Narromine community. One such facility is Rotary Park on the banks of the Macquarie River. This is now a major sporting venue for the town, and a popular recreation area.
A major activity for Rotary in recent years has been the development and ongoing maintenance of the Narromine wetlands. The Wetlands was largely a wasted land resource on the edge of town and Rotary have helped turn it into an attractive picnic and recreation area.

Narromine Rotary Club Meetings are at 6.45pm each Tuesday
at the USMC and new members and visitors are always welcome.
